MAY FUNDING ROUND
Applications for financial assistance from
individuals, groups or organisations that support
and encourage creativity and opportunities to
participate in arts activities are now being called
for by the Waitomo District Council. Projects must
have an arts or creative cultural focus and benefit
the Waitomo District Community.
Under the scheme “The Arts” is defined as “all
forms of creative and interpretative expression.”
Eligible projects must meet one or more of the
1. Broad Community Involvement – Create
opportunities for local communities.
2. Diversity – Support diverse arts and cultural
traditions of local communities.
3. Young People – Projects will enable and
encourage young people (Under 18) to
engage and participate in the arts.

Public notice is hereby given in accordance with
the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms
Act 1996 regulations that from 23 May 2016 or as
soon as possible thereafter, sodium fluoroacetate
(1080) impregnated baits will be applied by
helicopter onto bush blocks in the Aria/Mokauiti
area. This operation will be conducted on behalf
of the Waikato Regional Council to enhance

Nominations are invited for the election of five (5) parent
representatives to the board of trustees.
A nomination form and a notice calling for nominations will
be posted to all eligible voters. You can nominate another
person to stand as a candidate, or you can nominate your-
self (make sure you sign both parts of the form). Additional
nomination forms can be obtained from the school office.
Nominations close at noon on Friday, May 20, 2016 and may
be accompanied by a signed candidate’s statement.
The voting roll is open for inspection at the school and can
be viewed during normal school hours.
