and non-fossil fuel energy sources. Wood used to
make this 42gsm newsprint is mostly waste from the
production of sawn timber, thinnings and low value
wood from forestry operations in the central North
Island. The Waitomo News is printed by Beacon Print
Ltd (Whakatane) – an environmentally friendly plant
where all waste is recycled, which operates a largely
chemical-free plate production process.

Members of the Public and Service Organisations are invited to attend
the ANZAC Memorial Dawn Service at the Marae, Awakino Road, Te Kuiti.

Piopio Civic Memorial Service
The organisers of this year’s Piopio ANZAC Day Parade and Service would
like to invite all local Service Organisations and members of the public to
join the Returned Servicemen of the Piopio District for the 2016 ANZAC
Day Memorial Service. The program is:
10.30am Assemble at Piopio Senior Citizens Club, Weka Street, Piopio
11.00am March from Senior Citizens Club to Cenotaph at Piopio War
11.10am ANZAC Service and Wreath laying
11.30am Tea and Coffee will be available to attendees following the Service

The following meeting of the Waitomo District Council is scheduled for
